5 Nice Things about ABC’s The Chew

1 Comment 03 March 2014

I have fallen a bit in love with a show on ABC called ‘The Chew.’ Actually, Shervin, who considers himself a cheap-food foodie, became hooked on the daytime talk show first during lunch hours at the gym. I see why he loves it because the show is really all about one ingredient: Love.

Love of you. Love of friends and family. Love of what you do. Love of food. Love of life.

If you did not catch today’s show, stop over on ‘The Chew’ site for casserole recipes to help you stay warm tonight!

Enjoy…and read on for my 5 Nice Things about ABC’s ‘The Chew.’

1. Food-Related and Lifestyle Topics

Rather than a heavy emphasis on celebrity and sensational hot topics, ‘The Chew’ focuses on what is going on in everyone’s home every day. The happy and hopeful tone is a breath of fresh air.

2. Five Perspectives

Representing a range of unique, real, and even quirky perspectives, the show thrives because of Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly, and Daphne Oz. The message is: we are all different, we all have our own ways of doing things, and it is okay.

3. Balance of Health, Happiness, and Fun

According to the Huffington Post, which interviewed the ensemble cast upon its 500th episode, the panel of five always prepares for each show with the inspiring phrase, “Party in the kitchen!” While host Daphne Oz and other experts contribute health and wellness insights, the segments also are consistently based on simple real-world food and lifestyle ideas.

4. Encouraging and Empowering

The hands-on, live segments are designed to show how ideas can be integrated into real daily life. Without appearing impossibly perfect, the hosts demonstrate how anyone can be successful in the home kitchen, and have a great time doing it.

5. Five Friends

Having shared ‘The Chew’ forum for several seasons, the five relatable hosts interact just as we would with our own friends. The respect for one another is evident, yet lighthearted humor keeps the energy fun. The spirit of the show is always positive…well, sort of like a party in the kitchen.

welcome

We can learn great things from every soul, storm, and rainbow. The greatest of these is that we belong to each other, and we have everything when we have faith, hope, and love.

So happy you are here!
